Local charities are a key component in keeping our communities strong. They fill unique and important niches in helping us all with the educational, spiritual, cultural, social and health aspects of our lives. To provide a consistent donation stream for our local charities on behalf of our customers, we’ve created the Charitable Money Market Account (CMMA). In 2017 we were able to write out over $95,000 in checks to our local non-profits in the first quarter of 2017.

Forward Financial Bank is excited to partner with local school athletic programs in order to find new ways to encourage attendance at sporting events and give back to the communities.
$5K FIELD GOAL KICK: Each fall, a $5,000 Field Goal Kick is held at several participating local high schools. Each fan in attendance is entered into a random drawing for the kick. If selected, the person has one chance to kick a 25 yard field goal (set up the 15 yard line). If the kick is successful, they win $2,500 for themselves and $2,500 for the school! If the kick is not made, a check of $250 will be made to the hosting school to support their athletic department.
$5K HALF COURT SHOT: In the winter, Forward Financial Bank walks off the field and into the gyms of several local high schools to set up for the $5,000 Half Court Shot. Each fan in attendance is entered into a random drawing for the shot. If selected, the person has two chances to shoot a basket from half court. If the shot is successful, they win $2,500 for themselves and $2,500 for the school! If the shot is not made, a check of $250 will be made to the hosting school to support their athletic department.
$5K ON ICE: New in 2017, Forward Financial Bank took the $5,000 shot to the ice in Marshfield and Medford! Each fan in attendance is entered into a random drawing for the shot. If selected, the person has two chances to make a shot-on-goal through the Forward target from the center line. If the shot is successful, they win $2,500 for themselves and $2,500 for the school! If the shot is not made, a check of $250 will be made to the hosting school to support their athletic department.
Student athletes are adding to their educational experience and will bring so many skills to their communities and future employers. We will continue to find new ways to bring fans to the stands to cheer them on!
Forward Financial Bank believes in supporting the dreams of higher education for graduates of our local schools.
A Forward Financial Bank ($500) Scholarship will be awarded to one individual in each community that Forward Financial Bank has a branch location, for a total of 8 scholarships.
